When Jesus Christ visited the Nephites, he asked for those who were sick to come to him so they would be healed. This included those who were afflicted in any manner including the lame. After the people had been healed and were now whole, they immediately began to worship him. (See 3 Nephi 17:7-9).
Messages of Christ’s latest video explores a similar miracle found in the New Testament in Luke 13:1-21. While teaching at a synagogue in Capernaum, Jesus asks a lame woman to come to him. He touches her and she is immediately able to stand straight for the first time in 18 years. Like the Nephites, once made whole, she instantly begins to worship him.
Christ’s miraculous ability to heal stands as a powerful testimony that we too can be loosed from what binds us—no matter the affliction—by the loving touch of the Savior. For more videos about women in the New Testament who knew Jesus Christ, visit Messages of Christ’s YouTube channel.
