Book of Mormon Central is in the process of migrating to our new Scripture Central website.
We ask for your patience during this transition. Over the coming weeks, all pages of bookofmormoncentral.org will be redirected to their corresponding page on scripturecentral.org, resulting in minimal disruption.
On Sunday, August 26th at 7:00 PM the Hurricane West Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will host a special fireside by Book of Mormon Central.
Researchers David J. Larsen, Jonathon Riley, and Stephen Smoot will present on the topic of “The Book of Mormon and the Ancient Near East.” They will present cutting-edge work on how the Book of Mormon fits in an ancient Near Eastern setting, how the temple of Solomon influenced Book of Mormon teachings, and how texts from ancient Egypt support the Book of Mormon’s claims of having been written in “reformed Egyptian.”
The fireside will be held at the Hurricane West Stake Center (272 S 700 W, Hurricane, Utah). It is free and open to the public.
We hope to see you there!
